At a guess, you have CONFIG_SCSI_AIC7XXX and CONFIG_SCSI_AIC7XXX_OLD
set, with both drivers built into the kernel. You can only select both
drivers if both are modules.
Don't talk to me about aic7xxx, it is a shambles :(.
