I'm using XFS 1.1, but I want to know how stable is XFS 1.2 and if there's a patch for last 2.4 kernel prepatch, because I need to install the last v4l2 patch for my tv card and can be installed only in 2.4.20 prepatch.

We only have 1.2 patches for 2.4.19 or the 2.4.18-rh. So if you want recent XFS bits you might try the CVS tree.

I'm sure some 1.2 patches might turn up for 2.4.20 when it's released. I don't know if the XFS diff between 2.4.19 -> 2.4.20 is large though. You could try the 2.4.19 xfs 1.2pre3 patch against a 2.4.20-rc and see if something fails to patch.

I have a number of servers with 1.2pre3 out there which seem to do fine. They are not heavily loaded, but no failures yet. You might need to check out the patch for the broken tg3 driver in 2.4.18-17.7.x 2.4.18-18.7.x. Version 1.2 of the tg3 driver is the latest.

It might just be your lucky day, if you only knew.
