Summary: mkfs.xfs from xfsprogs-2.3.5 fails on 1.1TB partition
           Product: Linux XFS
           Version: 1.2.x
          Platform: IA32
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: High
         Component: xfsprogs
        AssignedTo: xfs-master@xxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: yocum@xxxxxxxx

If this is a userspace bug, what version of the package are you using:
xfsprogs-2.3.5
What kernel are you using:
RH2.4.18-18 w/ xfs1.2
Where did the XFS code come from? (CVS, Linus, your distribution, etc):
SGI
Description of Problem:
# mkfs.xfs -f -i size /dev/md0
log stripe unit (4194304 bytes) is too large for kernel to handle (max 256k)

Downgrading to v2.0.1 allows me to mkfs.xfs

How Reproducible:

Every time, multiple machines.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. git yerself a 1.1TB box...
2. install xfsprogs 2.3.5
3. try to mkfs.xfs

Actual Results:

See above.
Expected Results:

]# mkfs.xfs -f /dev/md1
meta-data=/dev/md1 isize=256 agcount=266, agsize=1048576 blks
data     =                       bsize=4096   blocks=278605824, imaxpct=25
         = sunit=1024 swidth=2048 blks, unwritten=0
