i386 SMP. This is no file with a "/" char, it is a normal directory.

I've recognized another issue: Most tar-Archives and other files >1MB on
this partition are "corrupt"... but only if I use 2.6.5.

If I switch back to 2.6.1 I can delete the directories and the files are
read correctly.
