I got the -current kernel and utilities compiled, and got the drive successfully mounted in my Linux box. I had to get it to not check the journal, apparently it saw something there it didn't like. Anyhow, I got it up, copied the passwd and shadow files off, and powered down. After working on this an entire day, I dropped the files in to John the Ripper on my Dual 1GHz machine and started to get ready for bed. But, much to my dismay, John was already done. Sometimes I forget that there are some people with no sense of security (or no need of it). Login: root Password: root Doh! Thanks again!
