I don't think so.

The only problem would be if you wanted to mount the
filesystem using a linux kernel predating around June 2002 and/or
mounting on an IRIX kernel prior to 6.5.26. 
It would/should refuse to mount the filesystem for those older
kernels (which don't know about v2 logs).
(Although this could probably be worked around by zeroing
 the log and resetting the appropriate superblock flag 
 bit - using xfs_db or xfs_chver on IRIX).
