- first run: lsof +L1 this will reveal any unlinked, open files. these are invisible to all fs search tools, but will continue to hold thier disk space until whatever process holding them open, closes

- umount the fs, remount w/o quotas, then remount w/ quotas and it will rebuild them. does it make any difference?

- The problem is solved. I ran xfs_repair on the filesystem in question and it reported in pass 7 several disconnected inodes that were moved to lost+found. Well some of them belonged to the user in qu
