If XFS doesn't have a native way, you could export them via samba, then mount them to an alternate mount point with smbmount.

XFS does not have a native way, there has been someone working on a case insensitive XFS, but that involved changing the hash algorithm XFS uses internally and on the disk, so it would not help here.

Hi, Thanks for all responses. I'll use vfat filesystem. The disadvantage is lack of permissions (not mentioning about acls :) And lack of journaling. The mount via loopback is not a solution as I oft

Well, I think it was being done by people who worked for Quantum, then Quantum spun off their NAS division, but layed off the developers. Not sure if there is still activity or not. Steve -- Steve Lo
