I am seeing the aic7xxx hangs on my VALinux 2200s using the bootnet.img provided with XFS-1.0.1 release. This problem did not exist in the 1.0 release (for me), but those older 1.0 images files have

It worked for me on some SGI 1200 systems. The trick is to use "text apic" or "linux apic" when the install diskette boots up. -- Florin Andrei

I do recall that there was an update disk image placed on the FTP site But I can't recall were it exactly went. Your best bet would probably to go to http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-xfs&r=1&w=2
