Juha, What version of gcc did you use to build this kernel? Can you try rebuilding it with egcs 2.91.66 (if it wasn't what you built with) and see if the problem goes away? Regards, Chris

I can't reproduce the problem anymore, since I could remove the dir with the gentoo install disc.
